Aisman ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered issue management application. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Aisman application and website.

2. Information We Collect

Aisman is designed with privacy in mind. When using the self-hosted/local version:

• Project data — Project names, issue titles, descriptions, notes, and session data are stored in your local SQL Server database.
• Local file access — Aisman uses the browser's File System Access API to read and write files in your project's .aisman directory. This data never leaves your machine.
• Settings — Application preferences, AI agent configurations, and instruction file paths are stored in your local database.
• Browser storage — Project root paths and UI preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect personal identifying information in the self-hosted version.
• We do not transmit your project data, source code, or AI session content to any external server.
• We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
• We do not share data with third parties.

4. Cloud-Hosted Version

If you use the cloud-hosted version (Pro or Enterprise plans), the following additional information may be collected:

• Account information — Email address, display name, organization membership.
• Authentication data — Secure login credentials (passwords are never stored in plain text).
• Usage analytics — Aggregated, anonymized statistics about feature usage to improve the product.

5. Third-Party Services

The application loads the following resources from CDNs on initial page load:

• Bootstrap (CSS framework) from cdnjs.cloudflare.com
• Font Awesome (icons) from cdnjs.cloudflare.com
• jQuery from cdnjs.cloudflare.com
• Google Fonts (Inter, Caveat typefaces)

These services may collect standard web request data (IP address, browser type). Refer to their respective privacy policies for details.

6. Data Security

For self-hosted deployments, data security is under your control. We recommend:

• Using HTTPS for all connections
• Restricting database access to authorized users
• Regularly backing up your database
• Keeping the application and dependencies up to date

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as you choose to keep it. You may delete projects, issues, sessions, and all associated data at any time from within the application.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
